Rachel: There are many different types of detoxes out there, some are only 3 days long, and others could be 3 months long, so it's a good idea to research different detoxes and then decide which is the best for you. You always want to take into consideration if you have any health issues, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, things that might be affected by your detox. While you're detoxing you might notice a few unpleasant side effects, normally in the beginning, within the first few days. Headache is one of them, and this often because of a drop in your blood sugar levels. Another would be lightheadedness, dizziness, a little bit of nausea. Some people tend to find that they experience diarrhea from detoxing, and others, their digestive system is so confused, [that] they won't go to the bathroom for a few days. All of this is normal, and it should start to regulate, once you've detoxed for a while. While you're juicing, it's a good idea to drink a lot of water and to rest as well because, a juice fast can be tough on the body. The best way to make juicing fun is to be enthusiastic about it, and to show your friends and family all the benefits that you're getting from it. Once they see your weight loss, and your glowing complexion, and the energy that you have, then a lot of them will join in.
