Death of a loved one causes a lot of grief and depression. Watch Justin speak about his story with his struggle from depression after losing his parents at a young age.
Justin: My name is Justin. I'm 24 years old. Around the age of 6, both of my parents passed away. And throughout my childhood, it was very hard for me to find out who I was, and my identity, and my purpose, and my origins, and where I would to go. I became very angry at the age of 6, 7, and up. Especially at God. You know, posing the question at a early age. 'Why me? Why is this happen to me?' versus my friends and I see their lives and I always set out to be different because of that. Because I felt like I was already different, and I began just a life of mischievous deeds with the foster parents, different family members I lived with. Just very destructive behavior. I was a class clown, cause I needed the attention. I was actually diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, ADD, because I couldn't focus, but really it was depression. Just from the death of my parents, death of my grandfather short after. So, you know, I tried different, had different therapists. I tried... I was on one or two medications for it, and those things helped. Those things are great, but as humans we connect with our purpose. You know, the reason we're here, and something that really communes with the soul can't really be solved with medication, with a pill.
