The beauty of Vinyasa yoga, is you can practice anytime of day and as much as you need to. Lana Masor, MS, 500-RYT, gives us the best routines for waking yourself up in the morning, and calming yourself down before bed.
Lana: A Vinyasa yoga practice is a great way to jump start your day, I recommend finding a few quiet moments and a quiet place to sit where you can focus on your breath and just help to quiet the mind and get you ready for the day ahead. If you're interested to start something a little more athletic you can do some standing poses where you stretch the body inhaling and exhaling as you do so, moving into sun salutations. A very common complaint that I hear from my clients is that they have trouble falling asleep, and practicing yoga at night can really help to encourage a good nights sleep. There are also breathing exorcises that you can do, one is alternate nostril breathing and just some simple forward bends which really helps to calm the nervous system and help you relax.
