I am a parent of a childhood cancer survivor. and a mom to four. Beyond that, I want to see children who survive cancer grow into strong healthy adults & I want their families to heal from their journey. Won't you as a survivor, a parent, or health care provider join me in this community?

I am a 73-year-old female who, up until 10 years ago, was pretty healthy. Then came the diagnosis of NTM (MAC). Did the three drug regimen daily for two years and was negative for approximately two years. NTM returned along with COPD, emphysema, Sjogren's and gastrointestinal problems. My pulmonologists want to treat but are leery because of tolerance to the necessary drugs because of my poor physical condition. Every day is a challenge to one degree or another, but I persue. My goal would be to have my health back so I could exercise and again enjoy activities with my friends. I take pride in the fact that I'm always there for friends and try to be an advocate for them should they need me. I love to learn and grow and cram my head full of all the knowledge I can gather! Trying to remain positive is of the utmost importance! MoreLess
I am 62, I have 27% of my lung function, my Pulmonary Doctor gave me two years to live advises a lung transplant. I will be here for much longer :) I eat very healthy, am a healthy weight, go to rehab, am very active and am up to 7.19 miles between the treadmill and Nuform, Unfortunately my Obamacare feels I should only be allowed 20 sessions per year, it is beyond my comprehension when it makes a profound difference in quality of life. I would love to find a way to change that way of thinking and encourage rehab as a health measure that lessens hospital stays, lessons dependence on rescue inhalers, and gives people back their lives. I would also like to advocate encouragement, and a positive attitude in some Doctors..it goes such a long way. MoreLess

56 years old, diagnosed with severe COPD 2001. I have used supplemental oxygen for past few years, pretty much 24/7 as of past year. I wish to improve my breathing to either be able to go back to pulse oxygen (qualify for portable 02 concentrator) and/or, preferably, to cut back on my need for supplemental 02 in the first place. I have tried to eat healthier and have incorporated more fruits and vegetables into my diet in the last year. I'm proud of the fact that I have lost around 15 lbs since a year ago. MoreLess
